Summer has drawn to a close, and with it comes one of the most anticipated moments in our students' academic journeys – GCSE results day. At Brookland and Brearley Hall schools, we're bursting with pride as we celebrate the remarkable achievements of our incredible students who have worked tirelessly to reach this milestone.

We are specialist schools dedicated to supporting young people who have experienced significant difficulties in mainstream education. Our students often face social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges that can make traditional schooling especially tough. At Brookland and Brearley Hall School, we offer a safe, stimulating environment grounded in a varied and personalised curriculum. JG's Mathematical Triumph

One of our standout achievements comes from JG, who secured a grade 4 in Mathematics alongside a Level 2 English Functional Skills qualification. This fantastic combination has opened doors to higher education, with JG successfully securing a place at Calderdale College.

JG's journey to this achievement hasn't been straightforward, but his dedication to mastering mathematical concepts and developing his English skills has paid dividends. Watching him progress from uncertainty to confidence has been one of the year's most rewarding experiences for our teaching team.

KK's Culinary Career Launch

Sometimes the most rewarding paths lead us right back home. KK achieved grade 4 in both English and Mathematics – a balanced achievement that showcases well-rounded academic development. Rather than pursuing traditional college routes, KK has chosen to embark on a hands-on career journey right here at Brearley Hall School.

KK will be working alongside our talented chef Joel and apprentice chef Jack in the Brearley Hall kitchen. This opportunity allows KK to gain valuable real-world experience while remaining part of our school community. We're thrilled to know that we'll continue to see KK around the grounds, contributing to our school's daily life in this new and exciting capacity.

MS's Childcare Ambitions

The caring nature that MS has always displayed has found its perfect academic match. MS is heading to Burnley College to pursue studies in childcare – a field that promises to be both personally fulfilling and professionally rewarding. This choice reflects MS's natural empathy and desire to make a positive difference in young lives.

The childcare sector needs dedicated individuals who understand the importance of nurturing development, and MS possesses exactly these qualities. We're confident that this path will allow MS to flourish while contributing meaningfully to the community.

HH and TG's College Adventures

Both HH and TG have begun their next academic chapter at Hopwood Hall College, embarking on courses that align with their individual interests and career aspirations. Their successful transition to college represents not just academic achievement but also personal growth and increased independence.

These two students have shown remarkable progress throughout their time with us, and seeing them take this confident step into further education fills us with immense pride. Their college journey represents new opportunities, challenges, and the chance to explore their potential in greater depth.
